About Imperial Valley Computer Machinery
The Imperial Valley Data Center is a 330 MW, 950,000 square foot AI and high-performance computing facility in development in Imperial County, California. Developed byImperial Valley Computer Manufacturing LLC, the project represents a $10 billion capital investment and will create over 2,500 construction jobs and 100-200 permanent positions with salaries ranging from $80,000 to $150,000.
The facility will generate $28.75 million in annual property tax revenue for local schools, fire departments, and essential services, plus a one-time $72.5 million sales tax contribution during construction.
Designed for sustainability, the data center will use 100% reclaimed wastewater - zero drinking water - and operate under "Non-Firm" grid service to support local grid reliability during peak demand. The project is zoned by-right in the M-2 (Medium Industrial) Zone and is categorically exempt from CEQA review.
